Key Responsibilities
- Build and ship full-stack features using React, TypeScript, and Node.js or Python, from database schema to deployed UI
- Design and implement RESTful and event-driven APIs, with attention to versioning, auth, and backward compatibility
- Own services end-to-end in AWS - including CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure-as-code (Terraform), and on-call rotation
- Work with relational and NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, Redis, DynamoDB), writing performant queries and sound data models
- Collaborate with product and design to break ambiguous requirements into shippable increments
- Write comprehensive tests, participate in code reviews, and raise the bar on engineering quality across the team
- Debug and resolve production issues across the stack, from browser performance to backend latency and database bottlenecks
- 3–6 years of professional software engineering experience building and operating production web applications
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript and a modern frontend framework (React preferred)
- Solid backend experience in Node.js, Python, or Go, including API design and asynchronous programming
- Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL and at least one cloud platform (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
- Track record of shipping user-facing features and iterating on them based on real usage
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience
