The role owns the content engine for a fast-growing technology company: strategy, production, and distribution of blog posts, whitepapers, case studies, and SEO-optimized web content that drives organic traffic and supports demand generation across B2B and B2C channels.
This seat matters because content is the top of funnel. The work directly feeds SEO rankings, sales enablement, and paid media performance — and success is measured in organic sessions, MQLs, and influenced pipeline, not word count.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the editorial calendar and ship 8-12 SEO-optimized pieces per month across blog, whitepapers, case studies, and landing pages
- Develop keyword and topic-cluster strategies using Ahrefs, Semrush, and GA4; brief writers and manage freelance contributors
- Repurpose long-form content into social, email, and video scripts for distribution across LinkedIn, YouTube, and lifecycle campaigns
- Partner with product marketing to translate technical features (APIs, integrations, SaaS workflows) into compelling customer-facing narratives
- Run technical SEO audits and collaborate with web engineering on site architecture, page speed, and schema markup
- Measure and report content performance: organic traffic, rankings, conversion rates, and content-attributed pipeline
- Maintain brand voice and editorial standards across all published assets
- 4-7 years of content marketing experience, ideally in B2B SaaS or technology
- Proven SEO track record: can show measurable organic growth from content you planned and shipped
- Hands-on with CMS platforms (WordPress or Webflow), Ahrefs or Semrush, GA4, and Looker Studio
- Strong writer and editor — capable of explaining technical concepts to non-technical buyers
- Experience managing freelance writers, agencies, and concurrent deadlines
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, English, Journalism, or equivalent practical experience
- Bonus: portfolio of technical content (developer docs, API guides, integration tutorials), HubSpot or Marketo experience, and familiarity with AI-assisted content workflows
