Key Responsibilities
- Design and build scalable RESTful and GraphQL APIs using Python, Go, or Node.js to support high-throughput client applications
- Architect and optimize relational and NoSQL database schemas in PostgreSQL and Redis, ensuring data consistency and fast query performance
- Deploy and manage containerized services using Docker and Kubernetes on AWS or GCP infrastructure
- Implement comprehensive automated testing suites and CI/CD pipelines to streamline code deployment and maintain high code quality standards
- Monitor system health, troubleshoot production incidents, and perform root cause analysis to continuously improve system availability and resilience
- Collaborate with frontend engineers, product managers, and designers to define technical requirements and deliver features on schedule
- 3–6 years of professional backend software engineering experience building distributed systems in production
- Strong proficiency in at least one backend programming language such as Python, Go, Java, or Node.js
- Hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure, containerization tools, and modern CI/CD pipelines
- Solid understanding of database design, caching strategies, asynchronous processing, and microservices architecture
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
- Bonus: Experience with event-driven architectures using Kafka or RabbitMQ, and prior work in remote-first engineering teams
