Backend Engineer

About The Role

The role owns the design, implementation, and scaling of core backend services and APIs that power user-facing features for a rapidly growing user base.

The engineering team works in a fast-paced environment where system reliability, low latency, and clean architecture are critical to product success.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and build scalable RESTful and GraphQL APIs using Python, Go, or Node.js to support high-throughput client applications
• Architect and optimize relational and NoSQL database schemas in PostgreSQL and Redis, ensuring data consistency and fast query performance
• Deploy and manage containerized services using Docker and Kubernetes on AWS or GCP infrastructure
• Implement comprehensive automated testing suites and CI/CD pipelines to streamline code deployment and maintain high code quality standards
• Monitor system health, troubleshoot production incidents, and perform root cause analysis to continuously improve system availability and resilience
• Collaborate with frontend engineers, product managers, and designers to define technical requirements and deliver features on schedule
  
  

What We Are Looking For

• 3–6 years of professional backend software engineering experience building distributed systems in production
• Strong proficiency in at least one backend programming language such as Python, Go, Java, or Node.js
• Hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure, containerization tools, and modern CI/CD pipelines
• Solid understanding of database design, caching strategies, asynchronous processing, and microservices architecture
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
• Bonus: Experience with event-driven architectures using Kafka or RabbitMQ, and prior work in remote-first engineering teams
