Responsibilities
- Design and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) that align with each child's unique needs, including those with autism, developmental disabilities, or other special needs.
- Collaborate with speech therapists, occupational therapists, counselors, and other specialists to coordinate comprehensive support plans for students.
- Manage classroom environments through effective classroom management practices, ensuring safety and fostering a positive atmosphere conducive to learning.
- Prepare lesson plans that integrate instructional design principles while adapting content for various learning styles and disabilities.
- Conduct assessments using standardized testing methods to monitor progress and inform instructional adjustments.
- Provide tutoring and academic advising tailored to individual student goals in literacy, math, physical education, or other subject areas.
- Maintain detailed documentation of student progress, IEP goals, behavioral interventions, and communication with families.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or a related field
- Valid special education teaching credential
- Familiarity with IEP development processes, behavioral health management techniques
- Proficiency in using learning technology tools for instructional purposes
- Excellent communication skills

Pay: $54.95 - $60.04 per hour
