What are the responsibilities and job description for the Intervention Specialist position at Every Special Child?
Every Special Child is seeking a dedicated and qualified Intervention Specialist/Special Education Teacher to join our team in Ohio.
Job Responsibilities:
- Write and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) for students
- Provide daily instruction and classroom support to students with and without disabilities
- Collaborate with general education teachers, administrators, and support staff to meet student needs
- Work with students one-on-one or in small group settings
- Coordinate schedules for special education students and teacher assistants aligned with the master schedule
- Track, document, and reflect on student progress
- Monitor students' behavioral patterns and arrange appropriate interventions when necessary
- Communicate regularly with families and team members
- Perform all additional duties related to the program as required
Requirements:
- Valid Ohio Intervention Specialist License
- 1 years of experience as an Intervention Specialist or Special Education Teacher
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university (Master's degree with an emphasis in Special Education preferred)
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $ $48.00 per hour
Expected hours: 35 – 40 per week
