Duties
- Develop and implement personalized lesson plans aligned with students' Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) to meet their unique learning goals.
- Manage classroom environments effectively through proactive behavior management strategies, ensuring a safe and supportive space for all students.
- Collaborate with speech therapists, behavioral therapists, and other specialists to support students' communication, social skills, and behavioral development.
- Utilize a variety of learning technologies and adaptive tools to enhance engagement and facilitate differentiated instruction.
- Conduct assessments using standardized testing methods to monitor student progress and adjust instructional strategies accordingly.
- Deliver specialized instruction in areas such as literacy education, math, physical education, and early childhood development tailored to students' needs.
Skills
- Proven classroom management skills that create structured yet flexible learning environments conducive to student success.
- Experience working with children with autism, developmental disabilities, or other special needs populations.
- Strong knowledge of curriculum development tailored for early childhood education, preschool experience, and Montessori methods preferred.
- Familiarity with learning technology tools used for special education instruction and assessment.
- Ability to design engaging lesson plans that incorporate literacy education, math concepts, physical education, and childcare principles.
- Excellent communication skills for collaborating with colleagues, parents, therapists, and other stakeholders.
