Group Leader

Be the reason a camper calls this the best summer of their life! No where else can you play Tug of War in 600 gallons of Jell-O, race across a lake in cardboard boats, and throw a dance party at 9am than summer camp! You will work in groups of up to 18 campers, from ages 4 to 13. You will support campers throughout their camp day ranging from swimming lessons, athletics, high ropes courses, creative and performance arts, special events, lakefront activities, and more! You will work alongside one or two (less experienced) counselors, providing them with support and feedback throughout the summer. You will be supervised by a Division Leader, often a seasoned teacher, who will provide regular guidance and mentorship. We are currently seeking Group Leaders to with campers entering 5th through 8th grade. DATES, HOURS, AND PAY 8:30am to 4:00pm (this includes a 30-minute break per day) June 22nd to August 21st (9 weeks preferred - flexible start date) Monday to Friday each week, off July 3rd Salary range is $4050 for 9 weeks, or $3600 for 8 weeks Paid Staff Training (additional $200 total) Tuesday June 2nd 4:30-9pm, Sunday June 7th 9am-4:30pm, and Saturday June 13th 10:30am-5pm. All training will have meals provided. Extra income can be made (up to $1320), working as a Bus Counselor or Extended Day staff. (Boston, Brookline, Somerville, Newton, Milton, Needham, Wellesley, Franklin, and more!) Housing is not included. Everwood Day Camp is an outdoor focused summer camp featuring many physically demanding activities on land and water. Staff members are regularly required to walk, hike and otherwise move in woods, fields, beaches, and lakes. To perform the job, each staff member of Everwood Day Camp must be physically able to travel around a large rural environment (fields, woods, beach, etc.) over uneven ground on a regular basis. Salary : $3,800 - $4,250
