A well-established hospital in the Hudson Valley is seeking an RN with infection control experience to join their team.
The Infection Preventionist is responsible for monitoring, analyzing, and preventing both community-acquired and hospital-acquired infections. This role plays a key part in maintaining patient safety and supporting regulatory compliance through the development and implementation of infection prevention strategies.
This individual will collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to establish policies, support education initiatives, and ensure adherence to best practices in infection control.
Key responsibilities include:
- Monitoring and tracking infection trends across the organization
- Assisting in the development and implementation of infection prevention programs
- Collaborating with hospital departments to ensure compliance with infection control standards
- Supporting policy development and staff education initiatives
- Participating in quality improvement and patient safety efforts
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a health-related field required
- Current NYS RN license required
- 2 years of infection prevention experience preferred
- CIC (Certification in Infection Control) preferred or must be obtained within one year of hire
- Strong analytical, communication, and critical thinking skills
- Proficiency with computer systems and data tracking
Compensation: 105,000 - 150,000
