An established commercial HVAC and mechanical services organization is seeking an experienced HVAC Service Technician to support customers throughout the Northern Virginia market.
This position focuses on servicing, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining commercial HVAC and building systems across a diverse portfolio of facilities. Responsibilities
• Perform preventative maintenance, inspections, and repairs on commercial HVAC and building systems.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and controls-related issues.
• Respond to service calls and provide timely resolution to customer concerns.
• Perform equipment start-ups, testing, commissioning support, and system adjustments.
• Replace components, make repairs, and ensure equipment operates safely and efficiently.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, technical manuals, and control drawings.
• Complete service documentation, work orders, and maintenance reports accurately.
• Coordinate with dispatchers, supervisors, and customers to ensure efficient project execution.
• Communicate findings and repair recommendations to customers in a professional manner.
• Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and industry best practices.
Qualifications
• 3 years of commercial HVAC service and maintenance experience preferred.
• Strong troubleshooting skills involving HVAC, mechanical, electrical, and control systems.
• Experience servicing commercial HVAC equipment including RTUs, boilers, chillers, pumps, air handlers, VAV systems, and related equipment.
• EPA Section 608 Certification preferred.
• Technical school, trade school, or vocational HVAC training preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical documentation.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
• Ability to lift equipment, climb ladders, and work in varying indoor and outdoor environments.
• Self-motivated, organized, and capable of working independently in the field.
• Experience working in commercial, institutional, healthcare, industrial, or mission-critical facilities is highly desirable.
Salary : $35 - $55
