About the Role

We are seeking a Controls Technician to join our Electrical Engineering team, supporting the design, development, and optimization of HVAC and cooling systems for data centers and commercial facilities. This role offers hands-on experience with modern automation, control systems, and industrial technologies.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain control programs for complex HVAC and heat transfer systems
- Design and configure control interfaces for motors, fans, VFDs, and other electrical devices
- Generate schematic drawings, select components, and prepare technical documentation
- Support new product development with conceptual designs and layouts
- Participate in cross-functional improvement initiatives (e.g., Kaizen) to enhance efficiency and quality
- Contribute to cost-reduction and design-for-manufacturing efforts
- Prepare and present technical information for both technical and non-technical audiences
Skills & Qualifications
- Strong understanding of control system theory with practical experience in PLC programming, HMI/graphics development, and sensor integration
- Hands-on experience with motors, VFDs, actuators, and industrial communication networks
- Familiarity with Building Management Systems (BMS/BAS) and network integration
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills
- Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to quality
Preferred:
- Experience in HVAC system design and manufacturing, ideally with data center cooling technologies (e.g., chillers, CRAC/CRAH units, liquid cooling systems)
- 3 years of experience in electrical or controls engineering
- Authorized to work in the U.S. for any employer
