About the Position
The D365 POS Administrator is responsible for engineering, developing, and supporting retail technology solutions across EGNW's 23 retail locations. This role combines deep technical expertise in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Commerce/POS systems with PowerApps development capabilities to create innovative retail workflows and automation solutions. The engineer will serve as both a technical problem-solver for complex retail system issues and a solutions developer who builds custom applications to enhance retail operations.
This position is critical to advancing EGNW's retail technology capabilities while freeing up strategic IT resources to focus on production automation and digital transformation initiatives.

Retail Systems Engineering & Architecture
- Design, develop, and maintain technical solutions for D365 Commerce and POS systems across all retail locations.
- Engineer integrations between D365 Commerce/POS and other business systems (inventory, finance, reporting).
- Architect scalable solutions for retail operations, including new store rollouts and system expansions.
- Evaluate and implement retail technology improvements and optimizations.
- Lead technical troubleshooting for complex retail system issues.
- Develop custom PowerApps solutions for retail workflows, inventory management, and operational processes.
- Create Power Automate flows to streamline retail operations and reduce manual processes.
- Build mobile applications for retail staff using PowerApps and Power Platform.
- Design and implement retail dashboards and reporting solutions using Power BI.
- Integrate PowerApps solutions with D365 systems and external APIs.
- Provide advanced technical support for D365 Commerce and POS systems.
- Configure and customize retail system functionality to meet business requirements.
- Manage system updates, patches, and configuration changes.
- Monitor system performance and implement proactive maintenance solutions.
- Maintain technical documentation and system architecture diagrams.
- Work with retail staff to understand workflow challenges and develop technical solutions.
- Create user-friendly interfaces and applications that improve retail efficiency.
- Provide technical training and documentation for custom-built solutions.
- Support user acceptance testing for new retail applications and system changes.
- Lead retail technology projects including system implementations, upgrades, and custom development initiatives.
- Collaborate with Business Application Manager on strategic retail system roadmap.
- Coordinate with external vendors and consultants on complex retail technology projects.
- Support new store openings with technical setup and system configurations.

Education
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or related technical field, or equivalent work experience.
- 4 years of experience in software development, systems engineering, or technical consulting.
- Hands-on experience with Microsoft Power Platform (PowerApps, Power Automate, Power BI).
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Commerce, POS systems, or similar retail management platforms preferred.
- Proven track record developing custom business applications and automation solutions.
- Experience with retail operations, point-of-sale systems, and inventory management workflows.
- API integration and database development experience.
- Power Platform Expertise: Advanced PowerApps development, Power Automate, Power BI, and dataverse
- Programming Languages: Proficiency in JavaScript, C#, SQL, or similar languages
- D365 Knowledge: Understanding of D365 Commerce/POS architecture and configuration
- Integration Skills: REST APIs, web services, and system integration patterns
- Database Skills: SQL Server, data modeling, and database design principles
- Development Tools: Visual Studio, Git, Azure DevOps, or similar development environments
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to engineer creative technical solutions.
- Excellent communication skills with ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Project management capabilities and experience leading technical initiatives.
- User-centered design mindset with focus on creating intuitive, efficient applications.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple development projects simultaneously.
- Strong troubleshooting skills for complex technical issues.
- Understanding of retail operations, inventory management, and point-of-sale processes.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be required to sit for periods of time, communicate with other employees by talking and hearing, required to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds, and operate computer systems.
- Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
- Occasional travel to retail locations for system deployment and user training.
- Able to communicate with others effectively both verbally and written, including those who have limited English skills.

- Required hybrid work schedule, at least 3 days/week in office.
