Commercial Litigation Counsel
Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Commercial Litigation Counsel to join our legal team. This role will focus on providing expert legal guidance in commercial litigation matters, representing our organization in various disputes, and ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations. The ideal candidate will possess in-depth knowledge of commercial and complex litigation, with a strong ability to navigate business disputes effectively.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee commercial litigation cases from inception to resolution
- Provide legal advice on complex litigation matters and business disputes
- Represent the organization in court proceedings, mediations, and arbitrations
- Draft and review legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and contracts
- Conduct legal research and analysis to support case strategies
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop business-focused solutions to disputes
- Stay updated on relevant laws and regulations affecting commercial litigation
Qualifications
- Jurisdictions License to practice law in NJ; bonus points for NY admission
- JD from an accredited law school
- 10 years of experience in commercial litigation
- Strong knowledge of complex litigation, business disputes, and shareholder disputes
- Experience with breach of contract and restrictive covenants
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and advocacy skills
- Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
