JOB DESCRIPTION
Job Title: Migrant Education Recruiter -Temporary
Division: Instructional Services
FLSA Status: Temporary
Pay Grade: 101
Workdays: June 2026-August 2026
Reports To: Coordinator of Instructional Services
Primary Purpose
Identify eligible migrant students residing within the boundaries of Education Service Center Region 11.
Qualifications

Education/Certification:
- High School Diploma or GED (required)
- Bachelor’s Degree (preferred)
Special Knowledge/Skills:
- Team-oriented attitude and desire to work collaboratively with ESC staff campus/district/charter school personnel.
- Strong organizational, communication, public relations, and interpersonal
- Basic knowledge of computer operations and software programs.
- In-depth knowledge of the geographic area.
- Proficient in reading, writing, and speaking English and Spanish.
- Basic knowledge of managing migrant student record transfer systems and departmental tasks.
- Proficient in reading, writing, and speaking English and Spanish.
- Ability to pass the Recruiter Certification assessment
Experience:
- A minimum of three years working in an educational organization. Successful experience working with families and agencies.
- Successful experience in recruiting migrant families
- Technology competency levels comparable to those required by the State Board of Educator Certification for all beginning teachers.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

- Follow procedures and practices contained in the state Identification and Recruitment Manual.
- Identify eligible migrant students residing within the boundaries of ESC Region 11.
- Interview family of migrant students to determine eligibility as described in state
- Accurate and timely completion of the Certificate of Eligibility as required in state
- Accurately complete and maintain documentation including, but not limited to: Certificate of Eligibility, travel logs, home visit logs, and recruitment follow-up logs.
- Provide Migrant Records Transfer packet training to parents.
- Distribute the Migrant Parents Resource Guide upon completion of the Certificate of Eligibility.
- Attend Migrant recruitment training and other training appropriate for the job
- Collaborate with ESC migrant team to develop quality training, products, and services reflecting scientifically based research, national and state initiatives and campus/district/charter school needs in Migrant education.
- Assist in the distribution of program materials and supplies to eligible migrant students and families within the boundaries of ESC Region 11.
- Maintain open communication with the migrant team and coordinator.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Computers, projection devices, control panels in meeting rooms, printers, productivity software, software specific to the job assignment, network resources, Internet resources, and other hardware and software necessary to effectively and efficiently perform the functions of the job.
Working Conditions (Mental Demands/Physical Demands/Environmental Factors)
Mental: Public relations and people skills are always required, work with frequent interruptions, and maintain professional composure under stress.
Physical: Occasional prolonged and irregular hours. Frequent daily and region-wide travel.
Evaluation
Annual performance evaluation will be performed in accordance with the adopted policies of the Education Service Center Region 11. Employment in this position is contingent on performance, need, and funding.
