What are the responsibilities and job description for the Buyer - Associate position at Equity Staffing Group?
We are seeking a Buyer to manage supplier relationships and support production in a fast-paced manufacturing environment for our client in Riverside, CA This role is highly collaborative and requires comfort working on the factory floor.
Responsibilities:
- Manage supplier performance across quality, cost, and delivery
- Lead RFQs, supplier selection, and contract negotiations
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and support make vs. buy analysis
- Monitor supplier capacity, lead times, and ensure on-time delivery
- Resolve supplier issues and drive corrective actions
Qualifications:
- 4 years of purchasing/sourcing experience in a manufacturing environment
- Bachelor’s degree preferred (Supply Chain, Business, or related)
- Experience with ERP systems
- Strong negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, formulas, VLOOKUPs)
