- Lead and develop a high‑performing Bioprocess sales team with full line responsibility for revenue and direct sales staff in your assigned region.
- Manage, coach and evaluate salespeople, providing training on sales techniques, opportunity and account management, pipeline development and time/territory management, while mentoring them in their professional growth.
- Define clear individual goals, quotas and performance expectations, and act as a senior management contributor in leadership meetings and strategic discussions.
- Establish and optimize sales territories and quotas, managing and approving price discounting in line with profitability targets and corporate guidelines.
- Oversee all sales activities, ensuring proper and consistent use of CRM, quoting and reporting systems to maintain transparency, forecast accuracy and data quality.
- Assign and supervise sales team participation at conferences and trade shows, ensuring strong representation of Eppendorf Bioprocess solutions and lead generation.
- Spend up to 50% of your time traveling domestically and internationally to work directly with sales, service, field applications, marketing, corporate events and key customers, strengthening relationships and driving regional growth.
- Bringing a bachelor’s degree in life sciences or a comparable field from a four‑year college or university, combined with roughly eight years of related field sales experience in life sciences and/or management oversight; an equivalent combination of education and experience is also valued.
- Advanced qualifications such as an MBA or M.S., or further commercial experience, are preferred and help you navigate complex bioprocess markets and strategic decisions.
- Proven track record in leading and managing sales teams: you set direction, coach effectively, hold people accountable and inspire high performance.
- Deep experience in life science field sales, ideally in bioprocess or related segments, with the ability to understand scientific customer needs and translate them into commercial strategies.
- High digital fluency, including proficiency with Windows and Microsoft Office, CRM systems, SAP, Webex/Skype/Teams and financial analysis tools to manage business performance.
- Strong analytical and strategic mindset: you are comfortable working with pipelines, forecasts, pricing and profitability metrics to steer your region.
- Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills, including the willingness and ability to travel up to 50% to be close to your team, internal stakeholders and customers.
