This position is in Region 5, Great Lakes National Program Office, Financial Assistance, Oversight, and Management Branch, Database and Contracts Management Section. About: Region 5.
This is an office-centered position--you must physically report to the duty station stated in this announcement on a regular basis.
Qualifications:

To qualify for the GS-13 level, you must have 1 year of full-time* specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-12 level defined as providing oversight and/or technical knowledge to a team or project; enhancing program effectiveness and demonstrating knowledge of contracts.
To qualify for the GS-14 level, you must have 1 year of full-time* specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-13 level defined as providing oversight and/or technical knowledge to a team or project; enhancing program effectiveness and demonstrating knowledge of contracts; maintaining effective relationships withstakeholders.
You will need the following competencies in order to perform the duties of this position successfully:
- Budget and Cost Management* (assessed at GS-13/14)
- Leadership* (assessed at GS-14)
- Planning and Evaluating* (assessed at GS-13)
- Technical Knowledge (Related to Position)* (assessed at GS-13/14)

- Plan, organize, and direct the activities of the organizational unit,ensuring that they comply with legal and regulatory requirements and meet customer needs for promotingeffective operation of the organization.
- Exercise supervisory personnel management responsibilities to overseework, ensure reasonable equity of performance standards, and resolve group grievances among employeespromoting an environment for effective mission accomplishment.
- Represent the Agency with a variety of functional area organizations toexplain policy and procedures, resolve significant problems, and determine appropriate actions of impactfor establishing, developing, and maintaining effective working relationships.
