Technical Writer (1638368) — Summary:
This Technical Writer will author and revise Instructions for Use and electronic IFU content for regulated medical devices using structured XML-based authoring tools. The role manages content through a content management and quality-system publishing workflow while partnering with R&D, Regulatory, Quality, translation, and software teams to support product releases.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree and at least 5 years of professional technical writing experience.
- Hands-on structured authoring experience using Structured FrameMaker, Oxygen XML Editor, or a comparable XML/DITA-based publishing tool.
- Experience managing documentation through a CMS and controlled quality processes, including change analysis, requirements traceability, or translation workflows.
Responsibilities
- Author, revise, and maintain Instructions for Use and electronic IFU content in structured XML formats.
- Manage document content through CMS, review, approval, translation, and quality-system publishing pipelines.
- Coordinate with R&D, Regulatory, Quality, localization, and software packaging/testing partners to deliver documentation on schedule.
Important Notes
- Hybrid position based in Lafayette, CO, with 3–4 days per week onsite.
- The work supports active medical device development, delivery, and release activities under regulatory oversight.
- Candidates should be comfortable working across multiple projects and coordinating documentation changes with cross-functional teams.
