Electrical Engineer
Must have experience with aviation and Solidworks or AutoCAD
Responsibilities:
- Evaluation of existing electrical systems, components, and applications through testing and implementation
- Design, build and test electrical components and systems
- Design electrical diagrams, block diagrams, interface control documents
- Design conceptual wiring diagrams, and release detailed wiring diagrams
- Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) segregation routes as a function of the signal type
- Electromagnetic Interference (EMI) protection implementation
- Wires/cables selection to satisfy signal type, current, voltage, EMC, and EMI aircraft requirements
MUST HAVES:
- BSEE with 8 years of aviation related experience.; MSEE and 5 years of directly related experience.
- Experience with first article testing newly designed components
- Experience creating/modifying code for testing/debugging new systems
- Proficient with operation of electronic instruments such as multimeters, oscilloscopes and
- logic analyzers, and spectrum analysis.
- Occasional travel to CONUS and OCONUS locations (Alaska, Hawaii, UK and EUROPE)
Preferred:
- 10 years of experience in electrical engineering design in both Military and Civil aviation
- Knowledge and actual Participation in FAA STC Approval process; military Airworthiness process
- Familiarity with RF principles / Familiar with Harness Related Mil Specs
- AutoCAD, SolidWorks Electrical, or similar CAD drafting products experience preferred
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes and test instrumentation
