I’m working with a global engineering business developing next-generation cryogenic vacuum technology. They’re looking for an Embedded Firmware Engineer to join a cross-functional team of firmware, electrical and mechanical engineers, developing software for highly engineered pumps, chillers and compressor systems.
This is a hands-on role where you’ll work across new development and existing products, taking firmware from requirements and implementation through integration and testing on real equipment.
What you’ll do
- Develop embedded applications for cryogenic pumps, chillers and compressors
- Own firmware from requirements through implementation, integration and system testing
- Develop multi-threaded embedded applications
- Work with and improve existing/legacy codebases
- Develop test suites and automated engineering validation tests
- Carry out hands-on testing using real equipment in a lab environment
What you’ll need
- 5 years of embedded firmware/software engineering experience
- Strong C and C programming experience
- Experience with embedded controls and real-time systems
- Experience working within Linux and/or RTOS environments
- Knowledge of communication protocols and device drivers such as SPI, CAN, Serial, EEPROM and Flash
- Degree in Computer, Software or Electrical Engineering
Salary : $90,000 - $120,000
