We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join a fast-paced Engineered Solutions team focused on designing custom material testing equipment for customers across industries including aerospace, automotive, manufacturing, and construction.
This role involves developing custom mechanical solutions from initial concept through manufacturing, testing, and customer delivery. You will work closely with engineering, sales, manufacturing, assembly, testing, suppliers, and customers throughout the project lifecycle.
You will have ownership of your projects, ensuring designs meet technical requirements, schedules, and manufacturing needs while contributing to material selection, manufacturing processes, and overall system design.
Projects Include
- Custom machine and frame design
- Custom test fixture design
- Safety guarding and machine integration
Qualifications
Required:
- BS in Mechanical Engineering
- 5 years of experience in a mechanical design or manufacturing environment
Preferred:
- Machine design experience including mechanisms, mechanical drive systems, machine elements, and design for manufacturability
- Strong SolidWorks experience including models, drawings, and FEA
- Experience with pneumatics, hydraulics, motion control, and/or machine safety systems
- Hands-on system testing and design verification experience
- Experience taking engineering projects from concept through implementation
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Interest in materials testing
- Electrical engineering knowledge and/or PMP certification is a plus
Salary : $120,000 - $150,000
