Quality Control Technician
Location: Hartland, WI
Company: Engauge Workforce Solutions (Onsite at client location)
Schedule: Monday to Friday 5:00 AM to 3:30 PM, Saturdays 6:00 AM to 11:00 AM as required
Pay: $18-$23 per hour depending on experience
Employment Type: Contract to Hire
About the Role
Engauge is seeking a Quality Control Technician to join a leading manufacturing company. This role focuses on in-process inspection on the shop floor and supports production teams to ensure all components and assemblies meet quality and tolerance standards. The technician will work closely with machine operators, supervisors, and management to identify quality issues, document findings, and maintain high manufacturing standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform in-process inspections on the shop floor to verify product quality and adherence to specifications
- Conduct final product audits and document results
- Complete receiving inspections of raw materials and finished parts as needed
- Handle walk-in inspection tasks and quality checks requested by production or management
- Communicate effectively with operators and supervisors to address out-of-tolerance conditions
Skills and Qualifications
- Proficient in reading and interpreting part and assembly prints, including GD&T
- Strong shop math skills including angles, dimensions, and tolerances
- Experience in a manufacturing or machining environment
- Effective communication skills with both shop floor staff and management
- Skilled with basic inspection equipment, including:
- Dial calipers
- Micrometers (various types)
- Dial indicators and height gages
- Optical comparator or optical CMM
- Go/No-Go plug and ring gages
- Pi Tape (training provided)
