Job Description Job Title: Special Education Paraeducator / Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) Location: Nederland, CO (Boulder County - High Altitude / Mountain Setting) Position Type: Full-Time Contract (35 Hours/Week) Duration: ASAP - May 21, 2027 About the Role e&e Educational Partners is seeking an experienced Paraeducator or Certified RBT for a full-time, long-term contract assignment supporting a partner district at an elementary school (situated in a mountain community at 8,000 ft. elevation). This role directly supports moderate-needs PK-5th grade students (primarily focusing on 2nd and 3rd-grade classrooms).
The ideal candidate must possess significant public school special education experience, strong behavioral management skills, and reliable mountain winter driving capabilities. Key Responsibilities Classroom & Behavioral Support: Provide 1-on-1 and small-group instructional and behavioral interventions for students with moderate special needs under the direction of the Special Education Director and Principal. Skill Acquisition & Reinforcement: Assist with skill development, positive behavior support strategies, and classroom engagement across PK-5th grade environments (primary assignment in 2nd/3rd grade).
Team Collaboration: Maintain a flexible, collaborative approach while working closely with special education teachers, classroom staff, and campus administration. Attendance & Schedule: Follow the student attendance calendar (8:30 AM - 3:30 PM, Monday-Friday) plus 2 to 3 required professional development/training days during the school year. Mandatory Candidate Requirements Public School Experience: Minimum of 2 years of direct Special Education experience within a public school classroom setting.
Credentials: Valid Paraprofessional qualifications or active Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification. (Note: BCBA supervision is not available on-site for RBT hours). Mountain Driving & Location Requirement: Must have proven experience driving in heavy winter/canyon snow conditions and possess a reliable vehicle.
Candidates residing in or near Nederland, Boulder, Ward, Black Hawk, Central City, Rollinsville, Gilpin County, or Boulder County are strongly preferred. Note: Due to severe housing limitations in the mountain resort area near Eldora, local commuting candidates are required (no out-of-area travel/housing placements). Schedule & Compensation Hours: 35 hours per week (8:30 AM - 3:30 PM, includes 30-minute unpaid lunch daily).
Schedule: Student attendance days through May 21, 2027. Pay Rate: Competitive hourly compensation based on experience and credentials.
