Platform Engineer I

Job Description

We are seeking a Platform Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will play a key part in supporting third-party software solutions aligned with the Capital Markets Commodities and Swap Data Repository (SDR) lines of business, ensuring business continuity, compliance, and operational effectiveness.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, software vendors, product owners, and business stakeholders to design, implement, and support technology solutions in a fast-paced Agile environment.

This position will be on-site in Madisonville, OH until 8/31/2026, then move to on-site in downtown Cincinnati. Only candidates local to Cincinnati should apply

Key Responsibilities

• Support third-party software solutions aligned with the Capital Markets Commodities and Swap Dealer Compliance lines of business.
• Partner with software vendors (including FIS and S&P) to understand upcoming software changes, enhancements, and their business impact.
• Design and implement technology solutions that support business continuity and evolving platform requirements.
• Develop an understanding of the bank's systems and configurations to support software updates and business needs.
• Work closely with Product Owners and Agile squads to define user stories and deliver effective technology solutions.
• Help evaluate the technology roadmap and recommend continued utilization or elimination of third-party software solutions.
• Implement and maintain new platform features and capabilities while continuously improving technical products and services.
• Follow industry and organizational best practices while contributing to a culture of continuous improvement.
• Automate processes and develop maintainable, supportable, and testable solutions.
• Stay current with technology trends and innovations relevant to the platform.
• Provide operational support and troubleshooting for supported products and services.

Required Qualifications:

Must Have

• Commodities
• Platform Engineering
• Swap Dealer (SDR) Compliance
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant technology field or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
• 3 years of engineering or other relevant IT experience.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Willingness to work in a highly collaborative environment.
• Understanding of IT security best practices.
• Expertise in commodities trading platforms and swap dealer compliance requirements.

Preferred Qualifications

Nice to Have

• Cappitech
• Kiodex
• Experience working with Kiodex, Cappitech, and other Capital Markets IT platforms.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and working within Agile squads.
• Experience supporting third-party enterprise software vendors in the financial services industry.
