Position Overview
We are currently hiring a Member Services Representative for a long-term assignment with Summa Care. This is an excellent opportunity for professionals with strong customer service, call center, or administrative support experience, especially those with a background in Medicare and/or health insurance.
The selected candidate will complete mandatory on-site orientation and training for the first 1–2 weeks, after which the role will transition to remote work.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle inbound member service calls professionally and efficiently
- Assist members with Medicare and health insurance-related inquiries
- Provide accurate information regarding benefits, eligibility, claims, and coverage
- Document customer interactions and updates in the system
- Resolve issues while maintaining excellent customer satisfaction
- Perform administrative support tasks as needed
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA and company policies
- Maintain attendance during mandatory orientation and training period
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of experience in:
- Customer service
- Call center support
- Administrative support
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Comfortable handling high-volume phone calls
- Good computer and data entry skills
- Ability to pass a typing test prior to interview
- Reliable internet and workspace for remote transition after training
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience in Medicare
- Health insurance or healthcare customer support background
- Experience working with member benefit plans
Important Notes
- Orientation attendance is mandatory
- Orientation starts at 8:30 AM, regular shift begins at 8:00 AM
- Role transitions to remote after successful training
Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
