Our client in Port Elizabeth is seeking a detail‑oriented and proactive Information Co‑ordinator to join their team in Port Elizabeth. This role is central to ensuring the accuracy, quality, and availability of operational and customer data across the business. The successful candidate will work closely with multiple departments to maintain databases, generate meaningful reports, and support informed decision‑making that drives efficiency, quality service, and strategic outcomes.
Responsibilities:
- Draft, prepare, and coordinate weekly customer newsletters and field reports, with a focus on pest data.
- Maintain and manage customer information within the ERP system, ensuring accurate and up‑to‑date records.
- Oversee annual verification and updating of farm, orchard, block, cultivar, and planting year data.
- Set up pest monitoring traps on systems with correct coordinates and data to support efficient field scouting.
- Coordinate and report on mid‑season customer feedback surveys.
- Act as liaison between the client and software providers, managing system updates, bug fixes, and improvements.
- Support the finance team with invoice adjustments and contract updates.
- Assist with quality control reporting and ensure data accuracy across systems.
- Support customers with data requirements for Global G.A.P. and Department of Agriculture audits.
- Compile and maintain metrics, internal reports, weekly and ad‑hoc customer reports, and monthly project summaries.
- Develop and deliver system training, SOPs, and user guides for staff and customers.
- Support the technical team with data analysis and reporting, including occasional customer visits.
- Act as a key account manager for internal software systems.
Requirements
- 1–3 years’ experience in a similar role.
- Diploma or certificate in information systems, project management, logistics management, or related fields.
- Fluency in English and Afrikaans.
- High level of computer literacy (Excel, Word, Outlook, and database management).
- Valid driver’s license.
- Qualification or experience in business management, economics, or communication (Advontagoeus).
- Experience in auditing, process flow, systems development, or GIS (Advantageous).
