We are seeking a detail-oriented and strategic Production Planner to oversee end-to-end planning and coordination of daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role plays a critical part in ensuring operational efficiency, on-time order fulfillment, and adherence to quality standards.
The ideal candidate will serve as a key liaison between cross-functional teams—including Procurement, Quality, and Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP)—to effectively balance supply and demand while optimizing resources and minimizing lead times.
Key Responsibilities
Production Planning & Scheduling
- Develop and manage the Master Production Schedule (MPS) based on demand forecasts and production capacity
- Create and issue detailed production schedules across multiple manufacturing lines
- Monitor schedule performance and proactively adjust plans to address constraints such as material shortages or downtime
Material & Inventory Coordination
- Ensure timely availability of raw materials and packaging components to support production
- Partner with Procurement and Warehouse teams to maintain optimal inventory levels
- Support new product introductions (NPIs) and pilot runs in collaboration with cross-functional teams
Capacity & Resource Optimization
- Forecast labor, equipment, and resource requirements based on production volume
- Identify capacity constraints and recommend solutions (e.g., overtime, shift adjustments)
- Utilize efficiency metrics (e.g., OEE) to improve scheduling accuracy and performance
Systems & Process Management
- Maintain accurate data within ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics)
- Generate and analyze reports related to production performance, WIP, and material usage
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance planning processes and reduce waste
Compliance & Quality
- Ensure production plans align with applicable regulatory and quality standards (e.g., GMP, ISO)
- Coordinate with Quality teams to incorporate holds, releases, and validation requirements into schedules
- Maintain thorough documentation to support audits and traceability
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Industrial Engineering, or related field
Preferred:
- APICS (CPIM or CSCP) certification
- Lean Manufacturing and/or Six Sigma experience
- Familiarity with ISO standards
Experience
- 3–7 years of production planning experience within a regulated or high-volume manufacturing environment (e.g., consumer goods, pharmaceutical, or personal care)
Technical Skills
- Strong experience with ERP/MRP systems (SAP, Oracle, JD Edwards, etc.)
- Advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs, data analysis)
- Working knowledge of batch or continuous manufacturing processes

Pay: $90,000.00 - $105,000.00 per year
