Position Overview
The Business Systems Manager owns the onboarding, evaluation, and expansion of ERP Next and CRM systems supporting Muha Meds hemp and cannabis operations across multiple states. This role is responsible for learning, operating, and extending an existing ERP and CRM infrastructure currently in use for California hemp operations, then leading discovery and planning for expansion into Michigan cannabis operations.
This role serves as a systems operator and implementation partner—working closely with internal leadership, operations teams, and the HQ development team to ensure ERP systems are properly configured, compliant, and scalable across differing regulatory environments.
The core objective of this role is to ensure ERP Next is fully understood, effectively operated, and strategically expanded to support multi-state operations, including cannabis-specific compliance and integrations.
Key Responsibilities
ERP Onboarding & System Familiarization

Complete hands-on onboarding and training in ERP Next and an existing CRM system already built for Muha Meds California hemp operations

Work closely with Jeff during the onboarding phase to understand system architecture, workflows, data structures, and operational usage

Identify gaps, limitations, or optimization opportunities within the current ERP and CRM setup

Document system logic, workflows, and best practices to support long-term scalability
ERP Expansion & Discovery (Michigan Operations)

Conduct structured discovery with the Muha Meds Michigan operations team to assess ERP needs, workflows, and operational requirements

Evaluate how ERP Next should be built out and implemented for Michigan cannabis operations, accounting for regulatory and operational differences from California

Assess cannabis-specific software requirements, including METRC usage and evaluation of whether Distru can be integrated or connected

Partner with the internal HQ development team to explore ERP capabilities, custom configurations, and integration feasibility
Systems Planning & Implementation Support

Translate discovery findings into clear system recommendations, requirements, and implementation plans

Support ERP configuration and rollout planning to ensure compliance, traceability, and operational alignment

Identify potential roadblocks and recommend solutions to accelerate implementation and adoption

Support remote implementation efforts, with limited travel as needed to resolve complex issues or unblock progress
Cross-Functional Collaboration

Partner with Operations, Compliance, and Leadership teams to ensure ERP systems align with real-world execution and regulatory needs

Serve as the bridge between operational teams and technical developers

Ensure system decisions support scalability, accuracy, and compliance across hemp and cannabis operations
Required Qualifications

4 years of experience in ERP systems, business systems, or systems operations roles

Hands-on experience working with ERP Next or similar MRP/ERP platforms

Experience onboarding into existing ERP systems and expanding them to new operational environments

Strong understanding of regulated operations, system compliance, and traceability requirements

Proven ability to conduct operational discovery and translate findings into system requirements

Strong documentation, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills
Preferred Qualifications

Experience supporting cannabis or hemp operations, including METRC familiarity

Experience evaluating or integrating cannabis-specific platforms such as Distru

Background working with multi-state or multi-entity operations

Ability to operate independently while coordinating across technical and operational teams

Compensation & Benefits
Base Salary: Starting at $125,000 annually
Final compensation may vary based on depth of ERP Next experience, regulated operations knowledge, systems ownership scope, and ability to independently lead ERP discovery, expansion, and implementation efforts. Eligible employees may also receive access to company-sponsored benefits in accordance with HR MGMT 10, LLC plans and eligibility requirements.
