We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Legal Assistant to support attorneys in a busy legal office handling estate planning, tax matters, corporate work, and litigation. Key Responsibilities
Prepare, edit, and format legal documents, correspondence, and filings for estate planning, corporate, tax, and litigation matters
Assist attorneys with drafting estate planning documents such as wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and related documents
Maintain and organize case files, client records, and legal documents both electronically and in hard copy
Schedule client meetings, court dates, and deadlines while maintaining attorney calendars
Communicate with clients, courts, financial institutions, and other professionals as needed
Assist with corporate filings, entity formations, and maintaining corporate records
Prepare and file legal documents with courts and government agencies
Conduct basic legal research and gather documentation for cases and transactions
Manage incoming and outgoing correspondence, including email, phone calls, and mail
Track deadlines and ensure timely completion of filings and documentation
Provide general administrative support to attorneys and office staff
Qualifications
Previous experience as a Legal Assistant, Legal Secretary, or in a legal office preferred
Experience with estate planning, tax law, corporate law, or litigation is a plus
Strong organizational and multitasking skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel) and legal document management systems
