Job Title: Kennel Technician / Aspiring Dog Trainer
Pay: $12.00 per hour
Schedule:

• Monday through Friday

• One day on the weekend required

• Some holidays required

• Shifts: 7:00 AM – 1:00 PM or 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM

Job Description:
We are looking for a reliable and motivated Kennel Technician who is passionate about working with dogs and interested in growing into a dog training role. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work, values cleanliness, and wants to build a career in animal care and training.

Key Responsibilities:

Daily Care:

• Feed and provide fresh water to all dogs

• Ensure dogs receive proper exercise and enrichment

• Monitor behavior and overall well-being

Cleanliness:

• Maintain a clean and sanitary facility at all times

• Perform thorough cleaning of kennels, including scrubbing and disinfecting

• Assist with general upkeep of all dog areas
  (Cleaning is a major part of this role and requires consistency and attention to detail.)

Safety:

• Safely walk and handle dogs of various sizes and temperaments

• Observe and report any signs of illness or distress

• Follow all safety protocols to protect staff and animals

Growth Opportunity:

• Learn foundational dog handling and behavior skills

• Opportunity to transition into dog training responsibilities as experience is gained

Qualifications:

• Comfortable working with dogs of all breeds and sizes

• Strong work ethic and willingness to perform physically demanding tasks

• Dependable and punctual

• Interest in dog training is a plus
