What are the responsibilities and job description for the Kennel Assistant position at The Boulevard Veterinary Clinic?

Must be able to clean/disinfect all cages multiple times a day.
Heavy clean up involved of animal messes.
Must be good with animals, no fears etc
Must be able to work effectively with staff, and help other areas when needed.
This job is 90% cleaning, and 10% re-stocking. We are a fast paced clinic that needs someone capable of handling our boarding area effectively.
Must be responsible for the animals well being on a daily basis. Attentive to all the animals in your care.
Constant cleaning of the cages, boarding area, and laundry duties are expected.
Must be able to handle animals well on leash, and in carriers.
Bathing/Nail Trims/ Ear cleaning of dogs/cats.
Must have good people skills, and communication with owners.
Kennel/ Daycare experience 1-3yrs (preferred not required)
- **** This is a one day a week (Mondays), and WEEKEND shift Sat AM 8am-12pm)/PM ( 5pm to finish)- Sunday AM 8am- finish /PM 5pm- finish - You will be the only person on these shifts so calling in will not be an option. Approval to be off will need to be done 3 months in advance***
Pay: $15.00 - $16.00 per hour
