Employment Solutions is partnering with a manufcturing company to hire a Quality Engineer responsible for supporting production, improving manufacturing processes, and ensuring compliance with ISO and AS standards. This role works closely with production, engineering, and customers to maintain consistent, high quality output.
Salary range: $85,000 - $100,000/year
Responsibilities
- Create and update Work Instructions (WIs) and production routings
- Lead FAIR (First Article Inspection Reports) and PPAP submissions
- Provide production floor quality support
- Perform SolidWorks design tasks as needed
- Serve as the primary liaison between Quality and Manufacturing
- Support LEAN / continuous improvement initiatives
- Assist with programming automated inspection equipment
- Use SPC data analysis to drive process improvements
- Conduct material verification reviews and maintain documentation
Requirements:
- 8 years of quality engineering experience in manufacturing
- BS in Engineering
- Strong understanding of ISO 9001, AS9100, and QMS principles
- Experience in a wet / chemical manufacturing industry
- Good understanding of fluid dynamics
- Proficiency with SolidWorks or AutoCAD
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office
- Experience with ERP/MRP systems (E2/JobBoss a plus)
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills
- ISO 9001/AS9100 Internal Auditor Certification a plus
- Experience with chemical etching, metal forming, or metal working a plus
