Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Business Intelligence Manager to lead and support a modern BI and analytics function built around Microsoft Fabric and Power BI.
This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who can manage a small BI team while still owning technical delivery across semantic models, reporting, dashboard development, Gold-layer analytics data, and BI governance.
The ideal candidate is a player-coach who can work closely with business stakeholders, Data Engineering, Product, and executive leadership to turn business questions into trusted analytics solutions.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
• 8 years of experience in Business Intelligence, Analytics Engineering, or BI Development
• Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric, including OneLake, Lakehouse, Direct Lake, and Spark concepts
• Advanced Power BI experience, including data modeling, DAX, Power Query, semantic models, and performance tuning
• Strong SQL skills and working knowledge of Spark or PySpark
• Experience managing or mentoring BI developers, analysts, or analytics teams
• Ability to define BI standards, reporting best practices, documentation, and governance processes
• Strong communication skills with the ability to translate business needs into clear analytics solutions
• Experience gathering requirements from internal stakeholders and delivering high-quality reporting solutions on time
Preferred Skills:
• Experience in digital commerce, e-commerce, or product-driven environments
• Microsoft certifications such as PL-300 or Fabric Analytics Engineer
• Experience with data governance, RLS/OLS, metric definitions, data quality, and report certification
• Comfortable working in small or mid-sized data teams where the role remains hands-on and cross-functional
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead the BI and analytics function while remaining hands-on with development and delivery
• Own Power BI semantic models, datasets, reports, workspace organization, and reporting standards
• Manage and mentor BI developers through design reviews, modeling reviews, and technical guidance
• Build dashboards and reporting solutions that deliver clear, actionable business insights
• Own Gold-layer analytics data within Microsoft Fabric and ensure it is ready for Power BI and Direct Lake consumption
• Use SQL, Spark, or PySpark to shape curated analytics data for reporting use cases
• Partner with Data Engineering to define schemas, data contracts, quality expectations, and freshness requirements
• Work directly with stakeholders to define KPIs, prioritize analytics initiatives, and validate reporting outputs
• Support self-service BI while maintaining governance, consistency, and trust in the data
• Communicate findings clearly through written updates, presentations, and stakeholder discussions
