**Position Overview**
The President of EmberHope Connections provides executive leadership for
the organizations case management services, ensuring high-quality,
compliant, and mission-aligned programming across multiple sites and
departments. In close partnership with the Chief Executive Officer (CEO)
and the Executive Leadership Team, the President plays a critical role
in strategic planning, organizational development, service delivery,
fiscal stewardship, and external relations. This role requires
consistent alignment with EmberHopes policies, practice guidelines,
contractual obligations, and accreditation standards while advancing
positive outcomes for children, families, and communities.
The Connections President will oversee reintegration, adoption, and
independent living case management services. EmberHope Connections
operates as a contractor providing comprehensive, specialized services
to children in the custody of the Kansas Department for Children and
Families (DCF).
EmberHope Connections is responsible for delivering both direct and
indirect services that support evidence-informed strategies to improve
targeted state- and community-level outcomes and contribute to required
federal and state performance measures.
The President ensures that the organization maintains the
infrastructure, leadership capacity, and operational excellence
necessary to fulfill contractual obligations and achieve meaningful,
sustainable outcomes for children and families.
**Essential Functions**
To be successful in this role, the President must consistently
Demonstrate The Ability To Perform The Following Core Responsibilities
Assist in the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of
company-wide and program-specific policies and procedures, operating in
full alignment with the Agency and Program Operations Manual, practice
guides, and competency frameworks.
In coordination with the CEO and Executive Leadership Team, lead
strategic planning efforts that strengthen organizational
infrastructure, enhance service delivery, and advance short- and
long-term agency goals.
Ensure agency and program goals, performance metrics, and contractual
outcomes are met or exceeded.
Provide executive oversight of case management services contracts,
ensuring compliance with federal, state, and contractual requirements.
Establish, in collaboration with staff and agency leadership, annual
program, departmental, and individual performance goals, along with
clear accountability and evaluation protocols.
Track progress against goals, analyze performance data, and implement
corrective or improvement strategies as needed.
Deploy organizational resources efficiently and effectively, balancing
workload and capacity while maintaining service quality.
Directly supervise Vice Presidents and administrative support staff.
Build leadership capacity by mentoring, coaching, and supporting
supervisors to strengthen their ability to mentor, motivate, and develop
staff at all levels.
Provide guidance and support in troubleshooting complex programmatic and
personnel performance challenges.
Coach leaders to success and proactively plan for program improvements,
staff development, and operational sustainability.
Provide regular, onstructive feedback to promote continuous improvement
through monthly supervision, mentoring, and leadership practices.
Participate actively in the development of program and departmental
budgets.
Maintain a high level of fiscal responsibility, ensuring programs
operate within approved budgets and making adjustments as necessary to
remain aligned with funding requirements and organizational priorities.
Collaborate with finance and administrative teams to support sound
financial management, compliance, and reporting.
Promote integration and collaboration across programs, departments, and
external systems to enhance service effectiveness.
Serve as a liaison with state agencies, contractors, grantors,
accreditation bodies, and membership organizations.
Represent EmberHope Connections in public forums, advocacy efforts, and
strategic partnerships that advance the agencys mission and visibility.
Lead the integration of successful pilot initiatives into the broader
program department to ensure sustainability and scalability.
Support advancement and fundraising efforts through participation in the
agencys annual fundraising event, proposal development, and donor/funder
stewardship in partnership with the CEO.
