What We're Looking For
We’re seeking someone who is:
- Experienced in bookkeeping or accounting
- Personable, friendly, and positive—both on the phone and in person
- Professionally presented and confident greeting guests
- Self-starting and proactive, with a drive to take initiative
- Interested in learning the business and growing with the company
- Comfortable multi-tasking in a fast-moving office environment
- Detail-oriented, with strong organizational and communication skills
- A problem-solver who doesn't mind digging into the details
- Familiar with Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Gmail, etc.)
- Experience with AppFolio or property management accounting is a bonus
Primary Responsibilities
- Process utility bills and manage account reverts/switches
- Perform data audits to ensure billing accuracy
- Bill tenants monthly for utility and grounds expenses
- Verify insurance billing through AppFolio/Beagle
- Enter non-maintenance vendor invoices
- Print and mail checks, manage vendor payments
- Make bank deposits and record transactions
- Set up payment plans for past-due accounts
- Update utility contact emails to Accounting@EllisKC.com
