Primary Teacher

SUMMARY
Elliott County Primary is seeking a dedicated and passionate individual to join our team as a Primary Teacher. This full-time position offers an opportunity to inspire and educate young minds in a nurturing environment. The ideal candidate will be committed to fostering a love of learning and promoting the academic, social, and emotional development of students in grades K-3.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with the curriculum and meet the diverse needs of students.
• Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and collaboration.
• Assess and evaluate student progress through formal and informal assessments, providing timely feedback to students and parents.
• Collaborate with fellow teachers, staff, and administration to enhance the educational experience and address student needs.
• Maintain effective communication with parents and guardians regarding student progress and classroom activities.
• Organize and participate in school events, field trips, and extracurricular activities to promote community involvement.
• Uphold and enforce school policies and procedures, ensuring a safe and respectful learning environment for all students.
• Engage in continuous professional development to stay current with educational best practices and teaching strategies.

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field.
• Valid teaching certification for primary education.
• Strong understanding of child development and age-appropriate teaching methods.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with students, parents, and colleagues.
• Ability to create a dynamic and engaging learning environment that accommodates various learning styles.
• Patience, creativity, and a passion for teaching young children.
• Proficiency in using technology to enhance instruction and engage students.
• Previous experience in a classroom setting is preferred but not required.
