An established and growing infrastructure and construction-focused organization is seeking a HR Specialist to lead Talent Acquisition and support broader HR initiatives. This role is a key partner to leadership, responsible for driving recruiting strategy, workforce planning, and delivering a best-in-class candidate and onboarding experience across corporate, field, and skilled trade roles.
This position offers the opportunity to take full ownership of the hiring lifecycle while collaborating cross-functionally with operations, safety, payroll, and leadership teams to ensure workforce needs are met efficiently and strategically.
Key Responsibilities
Talent Acquisition & Workforce Planning
- Own and manage the full-cycle recruitment process from requisition through offer acceptance and onboarding
- Partner with hiring managers and leadership to assess workforce needs and develop strategic hiring plans
- Build and execute sourcing strategies across corporate, field, and skilled labor positions
- Lead candidate screening, interviewing, and selection processes while advising on hiring decisions
- Provide guidance on compensation, market trends, and internal equity considerations
- Oversee pre-employment processes including background checks, drug screenings, and compliance documentation
- Coordinate and execute a seamless onboarding experience from pre-hire through Day One
- Track and report on recruiting metrics such as time-to-fill, pipeline activity, and sourcing effectiveness
- Ensure compliance with all applicable employment laws and regulations
HR Operations & Projects
- Support broader HR initiatives including onboarding improvements, employee engagement, and performance programs
- Assist with HRIS/ATS data integrity, reporting, and system optimization
- Provide guidance to employees and managers on HR policies and procedures
- Support employee relations matters through documentation and coordination with HR leadership
- Contribute to process improvement initiatives and standardization across HR functions
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred
- 3–5 years of progressive HR experience with strong ownership of full-cycle recruiting
- Experience recruiting within construction, infrastructure, or skilled trades environments highly preferred
- Proficiency with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and HRIS platforms
- Working knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices
- Strong organizational, communication, and relationship-building skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities while exercising sound judgment and discretion

Salary : $60,000 - $80,000
