Our client, a growing engineering and infrastructure consulting firm, is seeking a Project Manager – Roadway/Highway Design to support and lead transportation engineering projects throughout the region. This opportunity is ideal for an experienced transportation engineering professional with strong roadway/highway design experience, project management capabilities, and client-facing skills who is looking to contribute to impactful infrastructure projects while supporting team development and business growth.
Responsibilities:
- Manage roadway and transportation engineering projects from planning through delivery
- Oversee project scope, schedules, budgets, staffing, and technical execution
- Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, agencies, subcontractors, and internal project teams
- Review engineering plans, technical specifications, contract documents, and project estimates
- Provide technical guidance, QA/QC oversight, and mentorship to junior engineering staff
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to support successful project delivery
- Support proposal preparation, project pursuits, and client relationship management efforts
- Prepare client presentations and participate in public meetings as needed
- Monitor project progress and ensure deliverables are completed on schedule and within budget
- Assist in resolving technical design issues and maintaining project quality standards
- Support roadway and transportation related studies, construction plans, and engineering documentation
- Coordinate with DOT agencies and ensure compliance with applicable transportation standards and procedures
Qualifications;
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field required
- 10 years of professional engineering experience focused on transportation or roadway engineering
- Demonstrated experience managing transportation engineering projects required
- Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred or ability to obtain within 6 months
- EIT registration required
- Experience working with DOT standards, permitting agencies, and transportation design procedures preferred
- Proficiency with MicroStation, AutoCAD, or similar engineering design software
- Experience with roadway/highway transportation infrastructure projects required
- Familiarity with AutoTurn, GuideSIGN, and related transportation software preferred
- Strong leadership, communication, project management, and client relationship skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced engineering environment
- Knowledge of Federal and State ADA standards and guidelines preferred
Salary : $100,000 - $185,000
