They also provide 24/7 emergency response, environmental remediation work, trenchless pipes, vacuum trucks and ongoing maintenance services from several strategically located facilities.
A fantastic opportunity exists for an Environmental Manager (Emergency Response). This will be a full-time permanent position based out of their Salt Lake City, UT location.
The Environmental Emergency Response Manager is responsible for supporting and coordinating daily field operations for emergency response and environmental remediation projects, including those involving Underground Storage Tanks (USTs). This role ensures safe, compliant, and efficient execution of work while supporting crew performance, training, and project success.
The Manager assists with daily crew scheduling, ensures compliance with OSHA and company standards, designates job site layouts, collaborates with supervisors to resolve field challenges, and provides training and ongoing development for field personnel. This position plays a critical role in maintaining our client’s commitment to safety, quality, and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities
• Oversee, schedule, and coordinate daily crew activities, collaborating with project teams to ensure efficient resource allocation and execution.
• Review project activities, equipment usage, and job sites daily to ensure compliance with company standards and all applicable OSHA and environmental regulations.
• Support emergency response and remediation activities, including spill response, hazardous material handling, and Underground Storage Tank (UST) system assessment, removal, and closure.
• Locate, plan, and designate job site layouts, including equipment placement, work zones, and site controls.
• Partner with Project Managers, Superintendents, and other stakeholders to ensure project scope, safety requirements, and regulatory obligations are clearly understood and executed.
• Proactively identify and resolve field issues, conflicts, and operational challenges in alignment with company and client expectations.
• Ensure all work is performed in accordance with site-specific Health & Safety Plans (HASPs), Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs), and environmental compliance requirements.
• Train and onboard new crew members and provide ongoing training and development to ensure adherence to current industry standards and best practices.
• Promote and reinforce a strong safety culture, intervening immediately when unsafe conditions or behaviors are observed.
• Maintain accurate documentation related to field activities, including site conditions, safety observations, and regulatory requirements.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support operational needs.

Qualifications & Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Health & Safety, Engineering, EHS, or a related field preferred; relevant field experience may be considered in lieu of formal education.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in environmental services, emergency response, or related field operations required.
• Experience with Underground Storage Tank (UST) systems, including inspection, removal, remediation, or regulatory compliance strongly preferred.
• Working knowledge of OSHA regulations, environmental compliance standards, and emergency response protocols.
• Strong organizational, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with field crews, clients, and leadership.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team. Must be able to support off-hours/weekend calls and associated projects.
• Willingness to travel as needed to support field operations.
Salary : $120,000 - $150,000
