Additionally, you will continuously update and refine estimating processes to improve accuracy and adapt to changing market conditions and material costs.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Proven experience as a construction estimator or in a similar role within the construction industry.
  • Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and legal regulations.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Review and analyze blueprints, specifications, proposals, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates.
  • Consult with clients, vendors, personnel in other departments, or construction foremen to discuss and formulate estimates and resolve issues.
  • Prepare estimates used by management for purposes such as planning, organizing, and scheduling work.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain competitive pricing and ensure accurate cost data.
  • Monitor project progress and costs to compare actual costs to estimates and provide feedback for future projects.
  • Assist in the preparation of bid proposals and ensure compliance with all regulatory and company standards.
  • Maintain detailed records of estimates, bids, and project costs for reporting and auditing purposes.

Skills:

The required skills enable the estimator to accurately interpret construction documents and apply technical knowledge to develop precise cost estimates, which are essential for competitive bidding and project planning.
