2nd Shift Maintenance Technician

Position summary:

The Maintenance Technician may be assigned to any aspect of equipment, building and grounds maintenance including but not limited to, performing preventive and repair maintenance on all equipment, facility and grounds. This role reports to the Maintenance Manager. This is a 2nd shift role.

Primary responsibilities:

• Performs assigned duties to include preventive and repair maintenance of the Elevation Foods facility and grounds
• May work closely with outside contractor/repair personnel inside or outside the Elevation Foods facility. In the event this occurs, the Maintenance Technician is responsible for insuring all SQF/SSOP/GMP guidelines are followed and equipment is repaired in a safe and timely manner
• May be responsible for records/repair reports for preventive maintenance of equipment/building/grounds as directed by the Maintenance Manager
• Attends safety meetings with Elevation Foods maintenance staff
• Works a flexible schedule to allow for optimal use of time including evenings and weekends as needed. Work may be done outside normal business hours during declared emergency situations
• May be required to operate lift equipment as needed
• Must be able to operate hand and power tools, vehicles and equipment commonly used for Elevation Foods maintenance and repair tasks
• May perform general building maintenance duties, including basic plumbing, carpentry, and electrical tasks as directed by Maintenance Manager
• Responsible for notifying leadership upon the discovery of a glass of hard plastic hazard in the Elevation Foods warehousing, refrigerated storage or processing areas
• Responsible for reporting any questionable activity inside or outside the Elevation Foods facility to leadership as part of the Elevation Foods - Food Defense Plan
• May be responsible for tree trimming and other vegetation maintenance as needed around parking areas and retention/fence areas of the Elevation Foods facility

Requirements

• Experience in commercial refrigeration, electrical, hydraulic and pneumatic preferred, general understanding required.
• Lifts, carries and loads of tools and materials needed onto cart, lift cage or other means of transporting tools and materials needed
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds or more.
• Must be able to climb ladders.
• May be exposed to a variety of hazardous/unpleasant working conditions, including wet, rainy, cold, hot weather, poison oak, food waste, electrical power and exposure to chemicals.
• Prolonged walking and/or standing may be required of the employee in this position.
• Prolonged bending, stooping, kneeling and lifting are required for means of repair/preventive maintenance activities.
• The employee in this position may be required for work purposes to enter an Elevation Foods cooler or freezer.
