What are the responsibilities and job description for the Facility Maintenance Technician (Handyman) position at Elite Maintenance?
We are seeking a dependable and skilled Maintenance Technician to perform general repair and upkeep services across multiple commercial locations on a weekly basis. This role focuses exclusively on hands-on repair work and requires consistent travel between job sites within a 30–45 minute radius.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform general repairs and maintenance across multiple assigned locations
- Repair and replace tile, including grout and minor surface restoration
- Upholster and repair seating and fixtures
- Complete ceiling repairs, including tile and panel replacement
- Install and repair doors, locks, and handles
- Apply caulking/sealants in various areas as needed
- Handle minor carpentry, basic plumbing repairs, and general handyman tasks
- Identify maintenance issues and complete repairs efficiently with minimal supervision
- Maintain tools, materials, and a clean, organized work environment
- Travel between job sites throughout the week as scheduled
Availability Requirements:
- Must be available Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- Open availability on weekends for urgent or scheduled repairs as needed
Requirements:
- Proven experience in maintenance, repair, or handyman work
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively across multiple locations
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Willingness to travel 30–45 minutes between job sites regularly
- Strong attention to detail and quality of work
- Ability to lift, carry, and perform physical labor
Preferred:
- Experience in commercial maintenance environments (5 year minimum)
- Basic knowledge of electrical or HVAC systems
- Basic knowledge of commercial kitchen equipment
