Job Title: Import & Export OperationsLocation: Hawthorne, CA, 90250Duration: Temp-to-Hire (4 Months with potential to convert to permanent)Morning Shifts: Between 6:00 AM – 10:00 AMWeekends AvailabilityTop 3 Required Skills:Air Import & Export OperationsCold Chain Logistics ManagementShipment Documentation & CoordinationMust-Have Skills:Experience in air import/export operations (preferred)Cold chain logistics experience (highly desirable)Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)Ability to lift 25–70 lbsStrong multitasking and sense of urgencyProfessional communication and teamwork skillsKey Responsibilities:Manage and execute export shipments while coordinating with drivers and operations staff to ensure efficient pickup and delivery schedules.Verify shipment paperwork, prepare Master Air Way Bills, and complete required export documentation including SED filings.Book shipments as required prior to export and monitor shipment notes for “ok to send” approvals.Monitor inbound/outbound flight schedules, shipment manifests, post-flight reports, and dispatch systems.Ensure proper cold chain management, including monitoring FDA-hold shipments and temperature-sensitive materials.Maintain inventory of packaging materials and gel packs, ensuring proper conditioning and storage.Coordinate airport dispatch activities, highlighting special delivery instructions and monitoring driver performance.Provide support for live animal shipments, ensuring proper care while held at the gateway office.Answer operational calls, assist drivers with directions, and escalate complaints or issues to management promptly.Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:Strong understanding of Cold Chain Management and regulatory complianceProficiency with WorldSTAR screens and World Courier systemsAbility to multitask in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environmentHigh attention to detail with strong organizational skillsKnowledge of airport operations and surrounding service areasCompany DescriptionElevaIT is a certified and values driven Service-Disabled Veteran owned global staffing and IT professional services firm serving Fortune 1000 clients with customized and scalable workforce solutions.
