Hostess (Saturdays Mandatory)

Job Summary

We are seeking an energetic and welcoming Hostess to join our team, with a mandatory focus on Saturdays to ensure our guests receive exceptional service from the moment they arrive. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for guests, managing reservations, greeting visitors, and coordinating seating arrangements to create a warm and inviting atmosphere. Duties

• Greet guests warmly upon arrival, creating a positive first impression and ensuring they feel valued.
• Manage restaurant reservations efficiently using reservation management systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS.
• Coordinate seating arrangements and manage waitlists to optimize table turnover while maintaining guest satisfaction.
• Answer phone inquiries with professionalism, providing accurate information about wait times, reservations, and general restaurant details.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand area, ensuring all materials are stocked and presentable.
• Assist with guest services by addressing special requests or concerns promptly and courteously.
• Support the restaurant team by communicating effectively with servers and kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations during busy periods.

Skills

• Proven experience as a host or hostess in a restaurant setting, with strong customer service skills.
• Familiarity with restaurant reservation management systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS.
• Excellent communication skills, including phone etiquette and clear verbal interactions.
• Strong organizational skills to manage reservations, seating plans, and guest flow efficiently.
• Basic math skills for handling waitlist calculations and table management.
• Knowledge of food safety standards and proper guest relations techniques.
• Ability to work on Saturdays consistently, demonstrating reliability and punctuality in a fast-paced environment.

Pay: $10.00 - $12.00 per hour
