Responsibilities
- Safely handle and transport food and beverages from the kitchen to guest tables, ensuring accuracy and presentation standards are met.
- Assist servers with food running duties, supporting timely delivery of orders to enhance guest satisfaction.
- Maintain cleanliness by bussing tables, clearing dishes, and resetting tables efficiently between guests.
- Support food safety and handling procedures by adhering to health regulations and proper manual handling practices.
- Communicate effectively with kitchen staff, servers, and guests to ensure smooth service flow.
- Assist with basic food preparation tasks as needed, including setup and cleanup of dining areas.
- Use POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for order processing when required, ensuring accurate billing and payment handling.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environments is preferred but not required; training will be provided.
- Strong communication skills with an emphasis on in-person customer service.
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting and safe lifting practices.
- Knowledge of food safety standards, food handling, and basic food preparation techniques.
- Experience with banquet service or culinary settings is a plus.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with excellent teamwork skills.
- Hospitality or hotel experience is advantageous but not mandatory; enthusiasm for learning is essential.
