Position Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Workers’ Compensation Attorney to join a growing legal team in Miami. This role is ideal for an attorney with at least two years of hands-on workers’ compensation experience who is passionate about advocating for clients and delivering strong case outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Manage a full caseload of workers’ compensation matters from intake through settlement or trial.
- Represent clients at depositions, mediations, hearings, and other legal proceedings.
- Provide strategic legal advice and guidance to clients regarding their claims.
- Draft and review legal documents including petitions, motions, discovery, and settlement agreements.
- Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, judges, and insurance carriers.
- Conduct legal research and stay current on Florida workers’ compensation laws and regulations.
- Negotiate settlements and advocate for favorable outcomes on behalf of clients.
- Maintain accurate and organized case files while meeting deadlines and court requirements.
Qualifications
- Active membership in good standing with the Florida Bar.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience practicing workers’ compensation law.
- Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish (required).
- Strong litigation, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple cases and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience handling hearings, depositions, and mediations preferred.
