Job Summary
A highly respected law firm is seeking a Labor & Employment Associate Attorney to join its growing Labor & Employment Practice Group in New York. This role offers the opportunity to work on sophisticated employment litigation and counseling matters for employers across a variety of industries.
The ideal candidate will have strong litigation experience, excellent writing skills, and the ability to advise management on day-to-day employment matters within a collaborative and client-focused environment.
Responsibilities
- Represent employers in employment-related litigation matters before federal and state courts and administrative agencies.
- Handle matters involving discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wage and hour, and other employment-related claims.
- Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other litigation-related documents.
- Conduct legal research and assist with case strategy development.
- Advise and counsel management on employee relations and workplace compliance issues.
- Support clients with employment policies, procedures, investigations, and risk management matters.
- Collaborate closely with attorneys and clients on sophisticated labor and employment matters.
Qualifications
- J.D. from an accredited law school required.
- Active New York Bar admission required.
- 2–4 years of labor and employment experience within a law firm environment.
- Experience representing employers in litigation before courts and administrative agencies required.
- Strong legal writing, analytical, and communication skills required.
- Excellent academic credentials required.
- Ability to manage multiple matters in a collaborative environment.
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary range: $175,000 – $210,000, depending on experience and qualifications.
