ESC has an exciting opportunity for a Customer Speaker Program Manager to join our premier client’s team. This role will focus on managing customer speaking engagements and reference programs that highlight customer success stories across global events. The ideal candidate will have strong program management expertise, exceptional organizational skills, and experience coordinating cross-functional teams to deliver high-impact customer keynote experiences. This position is PM-heavy (approximately 60%) and requires a strong ability to run meetings, manage work-back trackers, oversee budgets, and collaborate with senior leaders and stakeholders. This role starts as a 6-month contract opportunity working full-time in Arlington, VA or Seattle, WA.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop, manage, and optimize program processes, including nomination workflows, budgets, timelines, and reporting.
• Serve as the primary program manager for customer speaking engagements across global live events.
• Partner with senior leadership and cross-functional teams—including technical, events, legal, PR, and creative—to execute strategic initiatives.
• Oversee program budget allocation and tracking for budgets of $500K .
• Run program meetings, maintain work-back trackers, and ensure all deliverables and milestones remain on schedule.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement scalable solutions to enhance program efficiency.
• Manage stakeholder relationships to ensure alignment and seamless program execution.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 5 years of experience in program management, event management, or related fields.
• Experience managing budgets of $500K or greater.
• Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or similar productivity tools.
• Experience with live event management preferred.
Preferred Attributes:
• Experience with customer reference programs or speaker management.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
• Experience working within a global, matrixed organization.
• Ability to influence without direct authority.
• Experience with process improvement methodologies.
• Proficiency in PM tools such as Asana or Smartsheet; willingness to learn new systems.
