ESC has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Social Strategist to join our premier client’s XCM (Cross-Channel Marketing) organization, supporting some of the company’s most visible brand campaigns. This role will focus on developing, executing, and optimizing breakthrough social-first creative constructs that scale across priority brand initiatives. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in social media strategy, platform best practices, creator ecosystems, cultural trends, and GenAI-enabled content creation. They will be customer-obsessed, data-driven, and energized by the fast pace of a global brand environment. This role starts as a 6-month contract opportunity working in New York, NY.
This individual will bring a strong understanding of paid marketing and social media ecosystems and will be adept at optimizing creative for brand preference metrics from a paid marketing perspective. They must be highly confident working cross-functionally with creative, media, analytics, and other operational teams to drive alignment, scale campaigns, and deliver measurable results.
This role operates within a high-impact, cross-functional team and will partner closely with internal partners and external stakeholders to deliver innovative, bar-raising social campaigns across Instagram, TikTok, Snap, and YouTube Shorts.
Key Responsibilities:
• Own strategy and content production oversight for brand social campaigns across Meta, TikTok, Snap, and YouTube Shorts.
• Develop platform-specific creative briefs rooted in social insights to inspire breakthrough ideas from creative teams.
• Project manage end-to-end social content production, supporting stakeholder alignment and cross-functional workflows.
• Lead social marketing metrics, KPIs, and reporting, tracking and communicating results to leadership and partner teams.
• Support business and contract negotiations from a strategic and operational perspective.
• Collaborate across North American Stores, Organic Social, Creator Marketing, PR, Creative, Media, and Analytics to scale integrated brand campaigns.
• Research and identify innovative opportunities across emerging platforms, formats, and production models to improve efficiency and audience reach.
• Stay continuously informed on platform, audience, and cultural trends, infusing the brand’s social presence with new ideas and forward-thinking concepts.
• Optimize social creative and paid marketing assets to drive brand preference and performance outcomes.
• Guide cross-functional decision-making, ensuring strategic alignment across teams involved in campaign production and execution.
Qualifications:
• BA or BS in a relevant discipline.
• 7–10 years of experience in social media or digital marketing.
• Advanced knowledge of social media platforms, trends, best practices, and social listening/measurement tools.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with experience working across diverse stakeholder groups.
• Excellent analytical skills with experience interpreting social metrics and optimizing campaigns.
• Skilled writer with strong project management abilities and a strong eye for creative.
• Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements.
• Experience defining marketing strategy and executing at scale.
• Experience driving direction and alignment with cross-functional teams.
• Flexible, responsive, proactive, and equipped with a can-do attitude.
• Proven ability to optimize creative performance within paid social environments.
• Confidence and clarity in working with teams across creative, media, and analytics functions.
