Our client, a leader in fiberglass tooling, fabrication, and manufacturing is seeking an Account Manager to add to their growing team. This role works with a team of office personal, contract sales staff and a manufacturing team of 70 and takes responsibility for all Key Account Management activity including all B2B customer service presence. The role maintains standard M-F hours, onsite in Lake Mills, WI. NOTE – this role will manage the 2 largest accounts for this client.
The key to this role is past experience acting as the point person on strategic issues with key customers which would include strengthening and growing relationships and acting as the internal champion assuring resolve of any and all customer issues. The incumbent will:
- Ensure customer satisfaction, identify growth opportunities, and coordinate internal teams to deliver superior manufacturing solutions.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned B2B customers, developing strong, trust-based relationships.
- Understand customer technical requirements, project timelines, and commercial priorities to align with Fiberdome’s manufacturing capabilities.
- Coordinate cross-functionally with engineering, production, quality, and logistics teams to ensure smooth project execution.
- Monitor account performance, forecast accuracy, delivery metrics, and overall customer satisfaction.
- Lead customer meetings, site visits, and quarterly business reviews (QBRs).
- Identify new business opportunities within existing accounts, including new products, new tooling programs, and expanded scopes.
- Support the development of accurate quotes, pricing proposals, and long-term contracts in collaboration with estimating, finance, and leadership.
- Analyze customer trends, competitive activity, and market dynamics to guide strategic growth initiatives and identify new customer opportunities.
- Create and maintain an accurate sales opportunity funnel incorporating both active and future opportunities.
- Translate customer needs into clear, actionable requirements for Fiberdome’s engineering and manufacturing teams.
- Support design-for-manufacturability (DFM), tooling development, and early-stage product development for fiberglass and composite parts.
- Maintain detailed account plans, sales forecasts, and opportunity pipelines.
Qualifications
- 3 years experience of B2B account management experience, ideally in contract manufacturing, fiberglass and composites, tooling, plastics, or engineered products.
- 1 years working with and managing relationships with key accounts.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical requirements.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office suite of tools.
- Experience with any CRM software and/or ERP software.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred but not required
- Bachelors Degree
- Experience with SAGE
- Experience with Kanban ordering systems
- Familiarity with manufacturing processes such as fiberglass molding, composite lay-up, RTM, vacuum-infused molding, and tooling fabrication
- Experience in industries such as industrial equipment, trucking, construction, or marine.
- Knowledge of fiberglass and composite materials, resin systems, tooling design, tooling manufacturing, and production tolerances.
- Familiarity with ISO quality systems and process documentation.
