Job Description:
Edgewood ISD is currently seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable individual to join our team as a Varsity Football Coach with 2nd Sport and History or Social Studies teacher. This position requires a passion for teaching, a deep understanding of the subject matter assigned, and the ability to inspire and motivate students. We are a school district with 1,000 students located just east of Dallas on Highway 80. Edgewood ISD is committed to building an athletic program of excellence with strong community support, and a well-supported and funded athletic program. We expect to participate in the 3A D2 playoffs every school year.

Key Responsibilities:
1.Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that adhere to national and school curriculum standards.
2.Provide instruction and foster an environment that encourages students to participate in the learning process.
3. Evaluate student performance through assessments, providing feedback to students and parents.
4. Maintain classroom discipline and foster a positive learning environment.
5.Participate in school events and staff meetings.
6.As a coach, you will be responsible for training, mentoring, and guiding students in various sports activities.
7.Develop strategies to improve team performance, ensuring that all players understand the rules and strategies of the sport.
